He was initiative in building the state-of-art clinical lab, especially world class Immunology and Molecular diagnostics In South India bringing Multiplex technology to Clinics. Has 26 years of experience in Laboratory Medicine, Pathology and Transplantation Immunology.

He is acclaimed to be a very good spokesman and excellent teacher. He has won many awards as “Excellent “teacher for guiding and mentoring students and residents in clinical practice of Lab medicine, Immunology and Total Quality Management.

He is regarded as” Father of Urine Automation” in India, revolutionizing the Urine analysis.
Has travelled nearly 40 Countries and has participated as Faculty in 17 International conference and delegate in other conference.
He is member of National Academy of sciences (MNAMS) and International Academy of pathologists (IAP)

He is Medical Graduate from Bangalore University, India with 6th rank in his MBBS examination securing 10 gold medals.
He is Post Graduate from University of Madras, with gold medal and distinction in pathology.
He completed his Diploma in National Board Examinations, New Delhi, India with a gold medal.
He has won many awards – Young scientist award from IAPM, Best Teacher Award from MMM, Chennai and Also Best Teacher and Examiner from MAHE. Manipal,Anna university of Madras.

Young Scientist Award from ISLH 2011 for an outstanding work in Malaria.

Current Research interest: Hematology and Hemoglobinopathies, Lab medicine and Total Quality Management, Immunology and immunogenetics of Kidney Transplants, Molecular diagnostics in hematopathology, HIV and immunocompromised patients, Patient Safety and Laboratory, Risk Management in Pathology and Lab medicine.

Work exposure: Clinical Lab management administration, Total Quality Management (TQM) implementation, HLA Typing by serology and Luminex analyzer, Donor Specific Antibodies, Tissue Crossmatching by Modified CDC method, PRA, nephropathology and Pathology of Immunocompromised.

His interest ranges from Lab management, Total Quality management in clinical lab, Immunology and Special Pathology.
